LAHORE (AIA) A dignified Change of Guards ceremony was held Sunday at the Mazar‑e‑Iqbal to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of the national poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The event was presided over by Rear Admiral Sohail Ahmad Azmi, Commander of Pakistan Navy Central Punjab, who served as the chief guest.
Admiral Azmi laid a floral wreath at Iqbal’s grave and offered a fateha prayer. He then inspected contingents from the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Rangers, after which a smartly dressed Navy unit formally took over guard duties from the Rangers, symbolizing a respectful tribute to the poet‑philosopher’s enduring legacy.
