Musharraf allowed to travel abroad

Islamabad (AIA) Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said the government has permitted Pervez Musharraf to travel abroad in the light of Supreme Court orders.
Speaking at a press conference, the minister rejected criticism for removing the name of former military dictator from the Exit Control List (ECL).
He said the government could have removed Musharraf’s name from the ECL after the orders of trial court and then the Sindh High Court. But, he said, the government challenged the orders in the Supreme Court.
“Supreme Court’s decision should be acceptable to all, and the Attorney General of Pakistan didn’t commit a sin by saying the same thing,” he said.
