Pakistan to Attend Silk Road Expo in China As Guest of Honour

BEIJING (AIA) Ghulam Qadir, the Commercial Counsellor at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, announced on Sunday that Pakistan will be the guest of honour at the 8th Silk Road International Exhibition, set to take place in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, from September 20 to 24. He mentioned the strong ties between Pakistan and Shaanxi Province in recent years, noting that these ties span across various fields.
He also recalled PM Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Xi’an in early June this year, where the premier expressed a strong willingness to deepen exchanges with Shaanxi in areas such as economy, trade, energy, agriculture, education, and sister city relationships, with economic cooperation as a key point.
Qadir pointed out that Pakistan’s participation as the guest of honour at the Silk Road Expo will significantly boost practical cooperation between the two sides in various sectors, as reported by China Economic Net. He added that a Pakistani delegation will attend the event, showcasing a wide array of Pakistani products to strengthen ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
