PM Shehbaz Condemns Israeli Violence in Gaza, Calls For Global Community to Take Action

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned the ongoing violent acts by Israeli forces in Khan Younis, Gaza, which have displaced around 150,000 Palestinians.
In a statement, PM Sharif said the siege of Khan Younis has suspended the supply of food and other commodities to the area. He described the actions of Israeli forces as genocide, leading to a human catastrophe that demands the international community, including the United Nations (UN), to fulfill its responsibilities.
Sharif highlighted that Pakistan has voiced its support for Palestinians’ right to self-determination and opposed Israeli oppression at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). He reiterated the need for implementing the ICJ’s recent decisions and the resolutions adopted by the UN.
Pakistan has dispatched around 1200 tons of relief goods to Palestine through Pakistan Air Force planes and another 1500 tons through three ships, the premier said. Additionally, he has issued special instructions for the enrollment of Palestinian medical students in Pakistani medical colleges to help them complete their degrees.
Calling upon the international community to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes in Palestine, PM Shehbaz reiterated that the government and the people of Pakistan stand with their Palestinian brothers and sisters.
