PM Shehbaz Pays Tribute to Benazir Bhutto, Icon of Democracy and Courage

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday honoured the late Benazir Bhutto on the 17th anniversary of her martyrdom, praising her as a champion of democracy and a symbol of courage and resilience.
In a heartfelt message shared on his official X account, the prime minister highlighted Bhutto’s unwavering commitment to dialogue and reconciliation in politics. “Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto remains an icon of courage and resilience,” he wrote, underscoring her role as a staunch advocate for democratic ideals.
Shehbaz Sharif also referred to the historic Charter of Democracy, co-signed by Bhutto and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, calling it a powerful testament to her enduring legacy.The prime minister extended his deepest respect to Bhutto’s family, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as well as her supporters who continue to uphold her vision and ideals.
