Bangladesh Bar Association President Urges India to Extradite Former PM Sheikh Hasina

DHAKA (AIA) In a bold move, AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), has called on India to arrest former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana and return them to Bangladesh to face justice. Khokon accused Hasina of killing many people in Bangladesh and urged India to take action to maintain good relations with the Bangladeshi people.
The SCBA President also demanded the resignation of corrupt Supreme Court judges, state law officers, and officials of the Anti-Corruption Commission and National Human Rights Commission, all of whom were appointed by Hasina’s government. He called for the immediate release of political prisoners and the withdrawal of cases against them.
Khokon’s statements come as Bangladesh navigates a critical political juncture, with the nation demanding accountability and justice after weeks of protests and unrest.
