Six Polio Cases Reported; Pakistan Launches Vaccination Campaign

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal has stressed the need to eliminate misconceptions surrounding polio immunisation and raise public awareness about the importance of vaccination.
Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, the minister revealed that six cases of polio have been reported in Pakistan so far this year.
He announced that a week-long nationwide polio vaccination campaign will begin next Monday, with over 400,000 polio workers participating across the country.
Mustafa reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating the polio virus from Pakistan by the end of the year.
